KRITIS MEMILIH TAYANGAN TELEVISI YANG LAYAK DIKONSUMSI (LITERASI MEDIA TV PADA IBU-IBU RUMAH TANGGA DI TARUMA JAYA, BAKASI)

Abstract

Educating rural housewives to "literate" important media to be carried out to open up their insights about people's rights to media, forms of literacy, and media functions for social life. However, to achieve this, housewives need to be accompanied in the broadcasting of TV shows because of the need to increase understanding of community rights to TV shows. Media literacy is a compulsory knowledge that must be mastered by housewives so that they are ready to face the challenges in this era of media-tightness. Housewives must be able to become literate humans who master media literacy competencies which include the ability to use, analyze, evaluate, and produce information in the media. If these competencies are met, housewives who have more time with children or spectacle filtering children are not worried about being affected by the negative effects of the media.

Abstrak

Mendidik ibu rumah tangga perdesaan untuk “melek†media penting untuk dilakukan untuk membuka wawasan mereka tentang hak masyarakat terhadap media, bentuk-bentuk literasi, dan fungsi media bagi kehidupan sosial. Namun, untuk mencapai hal tersebut ibu rumah tangga perlu didampingi dalam meliterasi tayangan TV karena perlu peningkatan pemahaman tentang hak masyarakat terhadap tayangan TV. Literasi media menjadi pengetahuan wajib yang harus dikuasai oleh ibu rumah tangga agar mereka siap dalam menghadapi tantangan-tantangan di era sesak-media ini. Ibu rumah tangga harus mampu menjadi manusia literat yang menguasai kompetensi-kompetensi literasi media yang mencakup kemampuan menggunakan, menganalisa, mengevaluasi, dan memproduksi informasi di media. Jika kompetensi-kompetensi tersebut terpenuhi maka para ibu rumah tangga yang memiliki waktu lebih banyak dengan anak-anak atau pemfilter tontonan anak-anak tidak khawatir terpengaruh efek negatif media.
