Evaluasi Ekstrak n-Heksan-Etanol 70%Tribulus cistoides Dalam Sediaan Suspensi Terhadap Spermatozoa Mencit (Mus musculusL.)

Abstract


ABSTRAK

Tanaman Tribulus cistoides berpotensi mengatasi gangguan reproduksi pada pria melalui pengaturan hormon. Hormon testosteron yang berperan dalam meningkatkan libido juga sangat berperan dalam proses pembentukan spermatozoa serta berperan dalam pematangan spermatozoa di epididimis. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah mengevaluasi pemberian ekstraks n-heksana etil alkohol 70% T. cistoidessecara oral terhadap kualitas dan konsentrasi spermatozoa mencit  (Mus musculus L.) jantan Galur DDY yang telah diinduksi parasetamol. Penelitian yang dilakukan bersifat eksperimentalmenggunakan Rancangan Acak Lengkap (RAL). Kelompok uji terdiri dari kelompok kontrol menggunakan suspensi CMC 1% dan kelompok perlakuan dengan pemberian suspensi ekstrak n-heksana-etil alkohol 70% T. cistoides dosis 400; 800; 1600; dan 3200 mg/kgBB/hari selama tiga hari berturut-turut. Data yang diperoleh dianalisa dengan uji ANAVA (α=0,05) menggunakan SPSS. Pemberian suspensi ekstrak n-heksana-etil alkohol 70% T. cistoides berpengaruh dalam meningkatkan konsentrasi spermatozoa sampai di atas tingkat normal, tetapi tidak berpengaruh terhadap berat testis, persentase motilitas, dan persentase abnormalitas.Dalam kisaran dosis 400 mg/kgBB/hari sampai 3200 mg/kgBB/hari, semakin tinggi dosis ekstrak n-heksana-etil alkohol 70% T. cistoides yang diberikan secara oral, konsentrasi spermatozoa yang dihasilkan semakin besar.

ABSTRACT

Tribulus cistoides plants have the potential to overcome reproductive disorders in men through hormonal regulation. The hormone testosterone which plays a role in increasing libido is also very important in the process of spermatogenesis and plays a role in the maturation of spermatozoa in the epididymis. The aim of this study was to evaluate the administration of  Tribulus cistoidesn-hexane-70%ethyl alcohol extract to the quality and concentration of spermatozoa of male DDY mice (Mus musculus L.) that had been induced by paracetamol. The research conducted was experimental using Completely Randomized Design (CRD). The test group consisted of the control group using 1% CMC suspension and the treatment group by giving suspension of n-hexane-70% ethyl alcohol extract T. cistoides dose 400; 800; 1600; and 3200 mg/kg/day, respectively for three consecutive days. The data obtained were analyzed by ANAVA test (α = 0.05) using SPSS. The suspension of 70% T. cistoides n-hexane-ethyl alcohol extract had an effect on increasing the concentration of spermatozoa to above the normal level, but did not affect testicular weight, motility percentage, and percentage abnormalities. In the dosage range of 400 mg/kg/day to 3200 mg/kg/day, the higher the dose of  T. cistoides extract of n-hexane-70%ethyl alcohol given orally, the greater the concentration of spermatozoa produced.
