AplikasiIce Massage Sesudah Pelatihan Lebih Baik Mengurangi Terjadinya DOMS Daripada Tanpa Pemberian Ice Massage PadaOtot Hamstring
Abstract
Only With Control Group Design, jumlah sample sebanyak 20 orang mahasiswa.

Abstract
Background: Delayed onset muscle soreness is a uncomfortable feeling and pain on muscle. Doms involve reducing muscle strength, range of motion, and muscle tissue damage that occure 12 – 24 hours after trainning.DOMS poor in 48 – 72 hours otherwise getting treatment precisely and quickly. Objective: This reasearch was aimed at testing the effectifeness of ice massage pre and post exercise to reduce of delayed onset muscle soreness. Method: The sample 20 for college students, and devide into 10 students in each group. Treatment groups with ice massage 10 college student and control groups non ice massage 10 college students. Result:The results obtainedin theapplication oficemassage with wilcoxon rank p value 0,102 > 0,05. Non icemassageresultsobtainedarenotsignificantly with p value 0,010 < 0,05. Different from two variable with mann withney test p value 0,026 < 0,05. Conclusion: From this study showed thaticemassage immediately after exercise was reducing of risk DOMS, than without ice massage after exercise to diminish of muscle damage from overload trainning.
