Latihan Jalan Tandem Lebih Baik Daripada Latihan Dengan Menggunakan Swiss Ball Terhadap Peningkatan Keseimbangan Untuk Mengurangi Resiko Jatuh Pada Lanjut Usia (LANSIA)

Abstract


Tujuan: Penelitian ini untuk mengetahui latihan jalan tandem lebih baik daripada latihan dengan menggunakan Swiss ball terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh pada lansia. Metode: Penelitian ini bersifat eksperimen, terdiri dari 28 orang WBS PSTW Budi Mulia 4, dipilih berdasarkan teknik simple random sampling kemudian dibagi kedalam 2 kelompok, 11 orang pada kelompok perlakuan 1 diberikan latihan jalan tandem, dan 13 orang pada kelompok perlakuan 2 diberikan latihan dengan Swiss ball. Hasil: Hasil uji normalitas dengan Shapiro-Wilk Test didapatkan data berdistribusi normal sedangkan uji homogenitas dengan menggunakan Levene’s Test didapatkan data bervarian homogen. Hasil uji hipotesis pada kelompok perlakuan 1 dengan t-Test Related didapatkan nilai p = 0,000 latihan dengan jalan tandem meningkatkan keseimbangan untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh pada lansia. Pada kelompok perlakuan 2 dengan menggunakan t-Test Related nilai p = 0,000 yang berarti latihan dengan menggunakan Swiss Ball meningkatkan keseimbangan untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh pada lansia. Pada hasil t-Test Independent menunjukkan nilai p = 0,001 yang berarti adanya peningkatan keseimbangan untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh pada lansia yang signifikan antara kelompok perlakuan 1 dan perlakuan 2. Kesimpulan: Latihan jalan tandem lebih baik daripada latihan dengan menggunakan Swiss Ball terhadap peningkatan keseimbangan untuk mengurangi resiko jatuh pada lansia.

Abstract

Background: This study is determined that Tandem stance exercise is better than exercise with Swiss Ball to increase balance performance to reduce fall risk in older adults. Methods: An experimental methods was used with  28 independent older adults recruited from WBS PSTW Budi Mulia 4, recruited based on simple random sampling techniqueand divided into two different groups, 11 person into group 1 was ask to perform Tandem stance exercise, and 13 person into group 2 was ask to perform exercise with Swiss Ball. Results: the results of normality test with Shapiro-Wilk Test data showed normal distribution, whereas homogeneity test used Levene’s Test data showed homogeneous. The result in group 1 used t-Test Related, p = 0,000 which means tandem stance exercise increase balance performance to reduce fall risk in older adults. The results in group 2 used t-Test Related, p = 0,000 which means exercise with swill ball increase balance performance to reduce fall risk in older adults. The result used t-Test Independent showed p = 0,001 which means there is any increase balance performance to reduce fall risk in older adults that significant between group 1 and group2. Conclusion: Tandem stance exercise is better than exercise with Swiss Ball to increase balance performance to reduce fall risk in older adults.
