MEMAHAMI STUDI PSIKOGERONTOLOGI UNTUK PENGEMBANGAN PROFESI PSIKOLOG PERKEMBANGAN LANSIA

Abstract

Psychogerontology is a disipline of development psychology which study concern on the late adulthood. Many of Indonesia psychologists have not interested in these study because they can not get the challenge to improve their competency, skill
or experience. They also do not feel comfort, enjoy and happy because usually these science discipline can not give the high
salary. If the psychogerontologist practice as a counsellor and therapist sometime can not get the client. Therefore they feel
dispear, apathis, and sceptis about these science disciplinary. If a psychologist can understand the science deeply and trully
they may find the secrete of the thruth of science. Many of the state officer especially the social welfare minister both in the
developing country and in the industry country need the skill and competency of the proffesional psychogerontologist.
