Abstract

Every employee had potential hazards and risks in carrying out work which impacts on occupational health disorders. Nearly a third of the time a worker was spent at work. Work schedules caused changes toward unhealthy behaviors such as eating behavior, smoking behavior and physical activity behavior. These behaviors were risk factors for non-communicable diseases including diabetes mellitus (DM). Based on the preliminary study, it was known that the proportion of DM type 2 in workers at PT X has increased from 2015 to 2016. The objective of this study was to describe the risk level of  DM type 2 in PT X based on measurements of The Finnish Diabetes Risk Score (FINDRISC ) in 2018. This study used a cross-sectional study design with 261 employees as respondents. Data were analyzed using univariate analysis. The result found that the level of risk of diabetes type 2 in PT X was low-risk level. Based on the results of the study it was recommended to PT X to make a program related to DM at workers who have not been exposed to diabetes mellitus.
