Abstract


The problem if introducing children's literature is related to the message to be delivered because not all books are right for children. The purpose of this study is to establish the meaning of environmental damage in teaching protecting the environment for children through children's stories or literature. This study uses a content analysis method (content analysis) is a study that analyzes documents to find out the contents and meaning contained in the document. The results of research on the childhood story of The Time-Traveling River by Parinita Shetty based on the findings of ecocritical theory research found stories relating to pollution, wilderness, disaster (apocalypse), housing or dwelling (dwelling), animals, and earth.
