Abstract

Educational institutions are a place to create a young generation that excels in the face of competition. In its management, educational institutions must be able to adapt to any changes in the environment and existing technology. To be able to keep up with technological developments used in the teaching and learning process, it really depends on the readiness of the teacher in the face of change. This research is a descriptive and quantitative research that aims to determine the effect of transformational leadership and work relatedness on readiness to change. This research was conducted on 124 junior high school teachers in Pringsewu Lampung using the Partial Least Square-Structural Equation Modeling (PLS-SEM) method. The results showed that transformational leadership had a positive effect on work engagement. Then transformational leadership also has a positive effect on readiness to change and work relatedness has a positive effect on readiness to change. Job engagement mediates the relationship between transformational leadership and readiness for change.
