Abstract


Program Merdeka Belajar Kampus Merdeka (MBKM) is a program initiated by the Ministry of Education and Culture DIKTI since 2020 and is in accordance with the National Higher Education Standards. This program provides opportunities for students to be able to gain knowledge and experience outside the Study Program and even outside of Higher Education. The role of the lecturer in this case is as a driver, motivator and companion for students who take part in the MBKM program. This study aims to measure the Commitment of Lecturers of the Faculty of Economics and Business (FEB) at private universities (PTS) as a driver of MBKM through the 4 dimensions of the Ministry of Education and Culture-DIKTI. The research method is a survey method using an online questionnaire that is filled out by FEB Lecturers at Esa Unggul University (UEU) in Jakarta during December 2021. Respondents in this study amounted to 99 lecturers obtained by Snowball Sampling. Methods Data analysis uses a combination of descriptive statistical methods, and comparative test analysis with a different independent sample t test to measure differences in commitment to lecturers in the Accounting and Management Study Program. The first measure of commitment is UEU FEB lecturers always play an active role in discussions and workshops related to MBKM, added that lecturers always try to add information related to MBKM by studying guide books and following developments on MBKM information through the Ministry of Education and Culture's social media channels. Furthermore, this high commitment is reflected in the high desire of the lecturers to recommend the MBKM program to students. To deepen the results of the research, it turns out that the commitment of the lecturers of the accounting and management study programs is no different, they are both in a position of high commitment in implementing and playing an active role in MBKM activities. The research implication shows that Faculties and Study Programs play an active role in increasing lecturer commitment because basically lecturers at FEB UEU already have an understanding and experience related to the MBMKM program.
