PERAN PERAWAT DAN KESIAPAN DARURAT DALAM MENGHADAPI BENCANA PADA PENDERITA DIABETES: TINJAUAN LITERATUR

Abstract


Pada tahun 2014 International Diabetes Federation (IDF) menghitung ada sekitar 382 juta orang di dunia menderita DM. Masyarakat dihadapkan dengan banyak bencana yang terjadi beberapa tahun terakhir dan terjadi secara acak di seluruh dunia. Bencana sering kali mengakibatkan kerusakan infrastruktur kesehatan masyarakat yang penting. Kondisi ini dapat mengganggu pengobatan dan perawatan bagi orang dengan kondisi kronis. Masih banyak perawat yang belum memahami peran dan fungsinya pada fase bencana alam. Studi ini bertujuan untuk mendeskripsikan dan menganalisa tentang peran perawat dan kesiapan darurat dalam menghadapi bencana pada penderita diabetes. Metode yang mengunakan tinjauan literatur. Dengan mencari dari beberapa sumber berbasis ilmiah PubMed, EBSCOhost, ProQuest, ScienceDirect dan Wiley Library Online. Studi ini menggunakan kriteria dan kata kunci. Dua belas jurnal di analisa selama proses tinjauan literatur. Penulis mengidentifikasi beberapa tema dalam pembahasan yaitu definisi bencana, efek bencana pada penyakit kronis, peran perawat, manajemen diabetes saat bencana, persiapan darurat dalam menghadapi bencana, dan hal yang di lakukan pasien selama dan setelah bencana. Bencana merupakan hal yang terjadi secara tidak terduga. Perlu persiapan dari perawat dan pasien dalam menghadapinya. Perawat mempersiapkan kemampuan dan skill dalam memanajemen bencana sedangkan untuk pasien perlu mempersiapkan Kit Darurat Diabetes (Diabetes Emergency Kit). Kit darurat diabetes berisi segala informasi terkait pengobatan dan riwayat serta perlengkapan penunjang dalam melakukan perawatan mandiri diabetes (self-care diabetes) selama bencana atau keadaan darurat.
