PENERAPAN TERAPI MUSIK DALAM MENGATASI MASALAH DEPRESI RINGAN-SEDANG PADA LANSIA DAN KELUARGA LANSIA DI KOTA DEPOK

Abstract


Lansia merupakan kelompok berisiko yang jumlahnya terus mengalami peningkatan dan berpotensi mengalami masalah psikososial. Salah satu masalah psikosial yang sering dialami yakni depresi. Depresi merupakan masalah psikologis serius yang mempengaruhi kesehatan lansia. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk memberikan gambaran pelaksanaan intervensi praktek berbasis fakta (evidence based practice) terapi musik dalam asuhan keperawatan keluarga untuk menurunkan tingkat depresi pada lansia dan keluarga lansia. Metode yang digunakan yaitu metode studi kasus dengan pendekatan praktik keperawatan berbasis fakta (evidence based nursing practice) pada 10 keluarga lansia dengan depresi di kota Depok. Instrumen yang digunakan dalam mengukur tingkat depresi yakni Geriatric Depression Scale (GDS). Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya perubahan tingkat kemandirian keluarga dan peningkatan pengetahuan, sikap, keterampilan keluarga dalam mengelola kesehatan anggota keluarga dengan depresi. Selain itu, terapi musik mampu menurunkan nilai depresi yang dirasakan lansia dengan depresi setelah dilakukan terapi musik. Terapi musik dapat dijadikan sebagai pilihan intervensi yang efektif pada area pelayanan keluarga khususnya dengan masalah lansia dengan depresi.
