Efektivitas Kombinasi Terapi Cermin Dan Latihan ROM Terhadap Peningkatan Activity Of Daily Living Dasar Pada Pasien Pasca Stroke: Original article

Abstract


Pendahuluan: Stroke merupakan penyebab utama kematian dan kecacatan di banyak negara. Imobilitas yang berkepanjangan akibat stroke akan mengakibatkan terjadinya atrofi otot, kontraktur sendi, dan resiko jatuh. Tujuan: Penelitian bertujuan mengetahui efektivitas kombinasi mirror therapy dan latihan range of motion (ROM) terhadap peningkatan basic activity of daily living (ADL) pada pasien pasca stroke. Metode: Desain penelitian quasi eksperiment, dilaksanakan di Makassar, Sulawesi Selatan. Dilakukan pada 40 responden, teknik purposive sampling dikelompokkan dalam dua kelompok. 20 responden kelompok intervensi: kombinasi mirror therapy dan latihan ROM dan 20 responden kelompok kontrol: latihan ROM. Pengukuran indeks barthel sebelum dan setelah intervensi pada kedua kelompok. Intervensi dilakukan selama 6 minggu, 5 hari/minggu, 30 menit/latihan, 1 kali latihan/hari, dan pengulangan 3 kali/latihan. Data dianalisis menggunakan uji Wilcoxon dan Mann-Whitney. Hasil: Hasil uji Wilcoxon menunjukkan perbedaan yang bermakna (p = 0,000) ADL dasar sebelum dan setelah latihan pada kedua kelompok. Namun hasil uji mann-Whitney diperoleh nilai Z sebesar -2.041 dengan p = 0,041, secara bermakna terdapat perbedaan kelompok intervensi dan kelompok kontrol dimana kombinasi mirror therapy dan latihan ROM terbukti lebih efektif terhadap peningkatan ADL dasar dibandingkan latihan ROM pada pasien pasca stroke. Kesimpulan: Kombinasi mirror therapy  dan latihan ROM memiliki pengaruh lebih besar terhadap pemulihan aktivitas hari-hari pasien pasca stroke sehingga harapkan mirror therapy sebagai intervensi tambahan dalam perawatan baik di rumah sakit maupun dikomunitas
