PSIKOEDUKASI UNTUK MENINGKATKAN MANAJEMEN DIRI PASIEN DIABETES MELLITUS TIPE 2 DI PUSKESMAS KEBON JERUK

Abstract
The purpose of the study was to determine the effectiveness of psychoeducation to improve self-management in persons with type 2 diabetes mellitus. Efforts to treat diabetics must be done integratively, namely biopsychosocial. In primary health care (Puskesmas) there are still many medical treatments and psychologically less attention. Therefore it is necessary to immediately handle integratively including psychological. As a chronic disease, treatment of diabetes can be done by self-management so that it can control blood sugar for sufferers. In this study, psychological intervention or intervention will be carried out to patients with type II diabetes mellitus. Interventions carried out in this study were carried out by giving psychoeducation in the form of 1) introduction of psychological aspects that affect diabetes, 2) Cognitive Behavior Therapy group 3) providing mindfulness so participants realize and accept themselves about their illness, and relaxation to ease the burden on sufferers. The participants in this study were 14 participants with type II DM. Measurements with the Diabetes Self Management Scale (SMDD). Quantitative data analysis using nonparametric Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Analysis of qualitative data from observations and interviews. The results of data analysis show that the probability is 0.021, this value indicates that the probability is below 0.05. So it can be concluded that psychoeducation can improve self-management in the treatment of type II diabetes mellitus.

Abstrak
Tujuan dalam penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui efektivitas psikoedukasi untuk meningkatkan manajemen diri pada penyandang diabetes mellitus tipe 2. Upaya untuk penanganan pada penderita diabetes harus dilakukan secara integratif yaitu secara biopsikososial. Di dalam pelayanan kesehatan primer (Puskesmas) masih banyak dilakukan penanganan secara medis dan kurang memperhatikan secara psikologis. Oleh karena itu perlu adanya segera penanganan secara integratif termasuk psikologis. Sebagai penyakit kronis, penanganan terhadap diabetes dapat dilakukan dengan manajemen diri sehingga dapat mengkontrol gula darah bagi penderita. Di dalam penelitian ini akan dilakukan penangan atau intervensi psikologis kepada pasien diabetes mellitus tipe II.  Intervensi yang dilakukan dalam penelitian ini dilakukan dengan memberikan psikoedukasi berupa 1) pengenalan aspek psikologis yang mempengaruhi diabetes, 2) Cognitive Behaviour Therapy kelompok 3) memberikan mindfulness agar peserta menyadari dan menerima diri tentang penyakitnya, serta relaksasi untuk meringankan beban bagi penderita. Partisipan dalam penelitian ini ada 14 peserta dengan penyandang DM tipe II. Pengukuran dengan Skala Manajemen Diri Diabetes (SMDD). Analisis data kuantitatif menggunakan nonparametrik Wilcoxon Signed Ranks Test. Analisis data kualitatif dari hasil observasi dan wawancara. Hasil analisis data menunjukkan bahwa probabilitas sebesar 0,021, nilai ini menunjukkan bahwa probabilitas di bawah 0,05. Maka dapat disimpulkan bahwa psikoedukasi dapat meningkatkan manajemen diri pada penyandangan diabetes mellitus tipe II.
