PERBEDAAN ANKLE MOVEMENT EXERCISE DENGAN CORE STABILITY EXERCISE PADA POSTURAL CONTROL EXERCISE UNTUK KESEIMBANGAN BERDIRI ANAK CEREBRAL PALSY
Abstract
Abstract
Objective: The aims of this study to determine differences ankle movement exercise with core stability exercise on postural control exercise for standing balance on childrren with spastic cerebral palsy. Methods: This research is Quasi Experimental by Pretest-Postest Two Group Design and standing balance is measured using GMFM. Sample: 14 people aged 4-8 years were taken by purposive random sampling technique at YPAC Jakarta. The sample was divided into 2 groups and each group consist of 7 people. Group I got ankle movement exercise and postural control exercise and group II got core stability exercise and postural control exercise. Result: Test of hypothesis I and II with paired sample t-test shown that there was a significant increase on standing balance with ankle movement exercise and postural control exercise (p<0.001) and also core stability exercise and postural control exercise (p<0.001). Hypothesis III test with independent sample t-test obtained p=0.003, it’s means that there was a significant difference between group I and group II in improving the standing balance of spastic cerebral palsy. Conclusion: There is a significant differences ankle movement exercise with core stability exercise on postural control exercise for standing balance on children with spastic cerebral palsy.
