KOMUNIKASI NEGOSIASI INDIVIDU SEMARANG GAY@ COMMUNITY DALAM MEMUTUSKAN TES, MELAKUKAN KONSELING DAN PENDAMPINGAN

Abstract

This research aims to understand the process of negotiation, communication in conducting HIV/AIDS testing and counseling. The informants are MSM who are the members of NGO Semarang GAY@ Community. The Informants are consisted of three negative MSM and three positive HIV/AIDS. The counseling  about  HIV/AIDS is related to the condition of the spread of HIV/AIDS, its causes, symptoms, dangers, transmission, prevention, and treatment. The arrangement of message in the negotiation process containing persuasive message to persuade gay people which is related to the control program of HIV/AIDS to prevent and limit the spread of the virus, to improve the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS and to reduce the negative impact on social level and economic because of HIV/AIDS on individuals gay, families and communities. In managing the relationship between the MSM with The Department of Health which provides free testing and  VCT counseling services, conducted through companion as negotiator, especially people living with HIV/AIDS are controlled. In the process of negotiations has agreed the agreement, and marked by written agreement and signing the contract to test for HIV/AIDS.

Abstrak

Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk memahami proses negosiasi komunikasi dalam melakukan tes HIV/AIDS dan konseling. Informan penelitian adalah LSL yang tergabung dalam LSM Semarang GAY@ Community. Terdiri atas tiga orang LSL yang negatif dan tiga orang yang positif HIV/AIDS. Konseling tentang HIV/AIDS berkaitan dengan kondisi penyebaran HIV/AIDS, sebab-sebab, gejala, bahaya, penularan, pencegahan, dan pengobatan. Penyusunan pesan dalam proses negosiasi tersebut mengandung pesan persuasi untuk membujuk individu gay yang berkaitan dengan program pengendalian HIV/AIDS untuk mencegah dan mengurangi penularan virus tersebut, meningkatkan kualitas hidup ODHA serta mengurangi dampak negatif pada tataran sosial dan ekonomi akibat HIV/AIDS terhadap individu gay, keluarga dan masyarakat. Dalam mengelola hubungan antara LSL dengan Dinas Kesehatan yang menyediakan layanan tes gratis dan layanan konseling (VCT)¸dilakukan melalui pendamping sebagai negosiator, terutama ODHA yang terkontrol. Dalam proses negosiasi sudah terjadi kesepakatan, dan ditandai perjanjian tertulis dan penandatangan kontrak untuk tes HIV/AIDS.
