Faktor-Faktor yang Berhubungan dengan Frekuensi Konsumsi Suplemen pada Ibu Hamil di Rumah sakit Melati Tangerang

Abstract

Pregnancy period is one of critical points in the life cycle. The nutritional status of pregnant women should be more attention for mother especially during pregnancy, mother needs to get additional energy, protein, minerals, such as iron, calcium, folic acid, and the others vitamin. The aims of this study was to determine factors associated with a frequency of supplement consumption in pregnant women at Melati hospital, August 2008. This is a descriptive study, with cross-sectional design. The sample of this study is about 50 respondents who visiting the hospital obstectrics at poly Jasmine. The results study found that respondents who consume the supplement in often frequent is (82%) and rare is (18%). Based on pregnancy period, respondent who in trimester I is (22%0, trimester II (26%), and trimester III (52%). Based on activities in pregnant women, for low activity (10%), moderate (76%), and weight (14%). Based on level of education, respondent who learn at high school is about 58%, university is about 42%. Based on knowledge, respondent who have good knowledge is about 52%, in the middle knowledge is about 36%, and less knowledge is about 12%. The average income respondent is more than average income percapita (100%). From the analyze results shows that there is relationship between frequency of supplement consumption and gestational period, level of knowledge and advocate to use supplements (p<0.05). While, the variable that has no relation to the frequency of consumption of supplements are activity and level of education (p≥0.05).
