Abstrak

Pendidikan merupakan hal krusial dalam kehidupan manusia. Salah satu tujuan pendidikan adalah proses pendewasaan manusia melalui transmisi pengetahuan. Proses transmisi pengetahuan merupakan proses sosial yang terjadi dalam interaksi sosial. Termasuk pendidikan formal di Madrasah. Secara sederhana, proses sosial dalam pendidikan Madrasah terjadi dalam interaksi dua elemen di Madrasah yaitu Guru dan Murid. Dewasa ini, guru menghadapi banyak permasalahan dalam proses interaksi di Madrasah. Salah satunya adalah perilaku siswa yang tidak terkontrol dan gaduh. Guru semakin dituntut untuk kreatif menghadapi siswa dan mampu membangun keadaan yang kondusif demi terbangunnya proses belajar yang baik.Berangkat dari permasalahan perilaku siswa yang tidak terkontrol, kajian ini memotret mengenai proses relasi kuasa antara guru dan siswa menggunakan perspektif teori otoritas. Kajian ini merupakan kajian Antropologis dengan metode penelitian Auto-etnografi bertempat di Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Al Wathoniyah 19. Kajian ini memperlihatkan bagaimana guru membangun otoritas di dalam kelas sebagai bentuk kontrol terhadap siswa dan respon siswa atas otoritas guru dalam interaksi keduanya. Dari potret yang dipaparkan tersebut bisa terlihat bahwa gaya interaksi Guru menghadapi siswa mempengaruhi respon siswa dalam menghadapi Guru di Madrasah. “you gotta give respect to receive respectâ€.

Abstract

Education is a crutial thing in human life. One of the education goal is human maturation process throug h knowledge transmition. This is a social process which takes place in social interaction, included the formal education in Madrasah. Simply, social process in Madrasah education  occurs in two elements in Madrasah, i.e. teachers and students. Todays, teachers are facing many problems in interaction process in Madrasah. One of them is students`s rowdy and uncontrolled deportment. Teachers are required to be more creative in dealing with students and be able to build up a conducive condition for a good learning process. Based on students` uncontrolled deportment, this study captured the power relation between teachers and students using the perspective of  theory of authority. This study is antropological study by using Auto-ethnography research methode, which is located in Madrasah Ibtidayah Al Wathoniyah 19.  This study shows how teachers build their authority in their class room as a form of  a control toward their students and as students responses of teachers authority in their interaction.  Based on these explanations, it shows that the way of teachers interaction in dealing with their students affects students responses in dealing with their teachers in Madrasah. “you gotta give respect to receive respectâ€
