HUBUNGAN KOMUNIKASI TERAPEUTIK PERAWAT DENGAN KEPUASAN KELUARGA PASIEN DI RUMAH SAKIT UMUM BAHTERAMAS PROVINSI SULAWESI TENGGARA
Abstract
Communication is a means of social contact that is important in fostering relationships between individuals. Satisfaction is an effective or emotional evaluative response related to service quality to determine the relationship between nurse therapeutic communication and family satisfaction of patients at Bahteramas Hospital, Southeast Sulawesi Province in 2018. The study uses a cross sectional approach and mann-whitney to analyze the data. The data collected by using questionnaires of therapeutic communication and Patient’s family satisfaction consisting of 4 dimensions such as reliability, performance, empathy, and insurance. There are 71 respondents who are chosen by using consecutive sampling technique. The results of the study showed that there is a correlation between nursestherapeutic communication and Patient’s family satisfaction in term of reliability (Ï value = 0.008), there is a correlation between nursestherapeutic communication and Patient’s family satisfaction in terms of performance (Ï value = 0.011), there is a correlation between nurses therapeutic communication and Patient’s family satisfaction in terms of empathy (Ï value = 0.002), and there is a correlation between nurses, therapeutic communication and Patient’s family satisfaction in terms of insurance (Ï value = 0.001). It’s concluded that correlation between nurses, therapeutic communication and Patien,s family satisfaction on 4 dimensions such as reliability, performance, empathy and inssurance. It suggests for the health officers are able to improve their services quality especially on the applying of therapeutic communication in order staffsskill (human resource) and job motivation in giving services for the community can be improved.
