Abstract

Introduction: Implementing patient safety in hospitals has yet to be optimal. Many factors can influence the implementation of patient safety, including knowledge-based performance management focused on staff and process management. Objective: This study aims to understand the relationship between knowledge-based performance management focused on staff and process management. Method: This research is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional approach. The sampling technique used was purposive sampling, resulting in 76 samples. Data analysis was performed using the Spearman Rho test. Result: The study results showed that the better the knowledge-based performance management focused on staff and process management, the better the implementation of patient safety in hospitals, with correlation values of 0.010, 0.001, and 0.004, respectively, indicating weak but positive correlations. Conclusion: This study concludes that knowledge-based performance management focused on staff and process management is related to implementing hospital patient safety.
