ANALISIS FAKTOR PENYEBAB KEGAGALAN KERJASAMA DALAM BISNIS WARALABA: STUDI PADA PERUSAHAAN WARALABA MAKANAN DAN MINUMAN DI JABODETABEK

Abstract

Franchising is one of the easiest ways to start a business. The growth rate of the franchise in Indonesia is very high, especially food and beverage franchises. However, the failure rate is very high. The purpose of this research is to analyze the causes of failure in business franchise, from the franchisee perspective. The method used is factor analysis (EFA) with 7 hypotheses. This study was conducted by 131 respondents in which the unit of analysis is the food beverage franchisee in Jabodetabek. The results of the analysis show that in general the failure is caused by four factors: a lack of communication integrated, franchisees do not have a competitive advantage, franchisor did not give the support and operational guidelines is not yet complete.

Abstrak

Waralaba adalah salah satu cara termudah untuk memulai bisnis. Tingkat pertumbuhan waralaba di Indonesia sangat tinggi, terutama waralaba makanan dan minuman. Namun, tingkat kegagalan sangat tinggi. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk menganalisis penyebab kegagalan dalam bisnis waralaba, dari perspektif franchisee. Metode yang digunakan adalah analisis faktor (EFA) dengan 7 hipotesis. Penelitian ini dilakukan oleh 131 responden dimana unit analisis adalah makanan minuman franchisee di Jabodetabek. Hasil analisis menunjukkan bahwa secara umum kegagalan disebabkan oleh empat faktor: kurangnya komunikasi yang terintegrasi, franchisee tidak memiliki keunggulan kompetitif, franchisor tidak memberikan dukungan dan operasional pedoman belum lengkap.
