Author Guidelines

Carefully read the submission guidelines as follows:

A. General Requirements

The requirements of Journal of Hospital Management must be:

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration
  2. Files should be saved in the format of the word processing software word for windows or an open text document.
  3. Article is written in Indonesian or English.
  4. The length of submitted paper is at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages.
  5. Use of a tool such as as Mendeley for reference management and formatting, and choose APA 7th style
  6. Make sure that your paper is prepared using the JOHM Artikel Template
  7. The Author must fill the Author’s Statement Letter.
  8. Manuscript should be submitted to website  https://ejurnal.esaunggul.ac.id/index.php/johm/index
  9. Manuscripts that do not fulfil the requirements will not be processed any further.

B. Structure of The Manuscript

Manuscripts in general should be organized in the following order: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (optional) and References.  Paper size is A4 and a 2.5 cm margin for left and top, 2cm for right and bottom of the page is desirable.

Title. The title of the paper is precise, concise, and clear. It should be written in Times New Roman, 14pt, Bold, Centre, capitalize each word, and align left). The title is followed by the name of the authors and complete institution address.

Authors Name and Affiliations

Write Author(s) names without title and professional positions such as Prof, Dr, Production Manager, etc. Do not abbreviate your last/family name. Always give your First and Last names. Write clear affiliation of all Authors. Affiliation includes: name of department/unit, (faculty), name of university, address, country. Author names should be in 10pt Times New Roman and bold.  Author affiliations should be in 9pt Times New Roman.

Abstract. The Abstract was written in Indonesia and English and in one paragraph. The Abstract should be informative and completely self-explanatory. Abstract explains briefly the purpose of the research, its method, its results, and its main conclusions. Avoid quoting in the abstract!. The length of the abstract maximum 200 words and should be written in the past tense. No literature should be cited. Abbreviations that appear in the abstract should be defined when they are first used. At the end of the abstract, list 3 - 5 keywords in alphabetical order that best describe the nature of the research.

Introduction. The introduction should provide the readers with information necessary for understanding research presented in the paper. Previous work on the topic should be summarized and objective of the current research should be clearly stated.

Methods. The section of materials and methods should include a discussion of the methods of statistical analysis, and specify equipment source.  All modifications of the methods should be explained.

Result and Discussion. Results and discussion sections may be combined, or they may appear in separate section.  In case of being separated, the Results section should contain only the results of the current author's study. There should be no literature comparisons. Those comparisons should appear in the Discussion section. The discussion should interpret the results clearly.

Conclusion. The conclusion should be written in numbering or point. An Implication and a recommendation can be added.

References. References can be taken from international, national journals, proceedings in the last 5 years and 60% of the total references, and books in the last 10 years. All references must be relevant. References are written in APA 7th style using the Mendeley application. Use the following system for arranging the references:

Tables. On tables, no vertical line is used and each term should begin with a capital letter. All tables should be explained in the text.

Figures. Figures should be drawn on white papers and lines should be less than 1 mm wide. The left vertical and bottom horizontal lines is used. All the figures should be numbered in consecutive order.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The submission has not been previously published, nor is it before another journal for consideration.
  2. The submission file is in Open Office, Microsoft Word, RTF, or WordPerfect document file format. Conform to standard of JOHM Article Template and the text adheres to the stylistic and bibliographic requirements outlined in the Author’s Guidelines.
  3. If submitting to a peer-reviewed section of the journal, the instructions in ensuring in blind review have been followed.
  4. The length of submitted paper is at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages.
  5. Abstract has maximum 200 WORDS; 3–5 Keywords; No citation; The abstract should describe your entire paper. It comprises of the purposes of the research, method, and the findings of the research.
  6. Manuscript structure: Title, Abstract, Introduction, Research Methods, Results and Discussion, Conclusion, Acknowledgements (optional) and References
  7. References can be taken from international, national journals, proceedings in the last 5 years and 60% of the total references, and books in the last 10 years. All references must be relevant. References are written in APA 7th style using the Mendeley application
  8. Copyright Agreement. Authors are required to fill the Author’s Letter Statement to Editorial Office.  A form of copyright is sent to the corresponding author when article is accepted and article is not published until the complete form has been received by the Editorial Office via fax or email.

 

Submission Preparation Checklist

As part of the submission process, authors are required to check off their submission's compliance with all of the following items, and submissions may be returned to authors that do not adhere to these guidelines.

  1. The paper has not been published or is not in the process of submission for publication to other media and does not contain elements of plagiarism, and enclosing written statement from the author.
  2. The submission file is in Microsoft Word. The length of submitted paper is at least 5 pages and no more than 15 pages.

  3. References expect a minimum of 15 references primarily with minimum 80% to journal papers.

    It used of a tool such as Mendeley for reference management and formatting, and have choosen the APA style.
